THE TEAM
PROFESSOR MILTINHO
Professor at Sao Paulo State University (UNESP/Rio Claro) and coordinator of LASI (Laboratory Araucaria of Sustainability and Innovation) and of the LEEC (Laboratory of Spatial Ecology and Conservation).
Bachelor in Computer Science (UNICAMP), Master in Remote Sensing (INPE) and PhD in Ecology (USP). He is dedicated to the application of modeling in ecology, principles of landscapes and spatial ecology.
GABRIELA ROSA
Ecologist (UNESP/Rio Claro), specialist in Architecture and Civil Engineering (UNICAMP), Master in Architecture and Urbanism (UNESP/Bauru) and PhD student in Ecology, Evolution and Biodiversity (UNESP/Rio Claro).
Founder of the Araucaria project
JOÃO PENA
Biologist with emphasis in Vertebrate Zoology at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at UNESP and coordinates the research network "Urban Predation Risk Network".
He holds a master's degree in Ecology and Biomonitoring from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) and a PhD in Ecology, Conservation and Wildlife Management from UFMG, with a internship at the University of Salford-Manchester (UK).
He has experience in ornithology, modeling the potential distribution of species, geographic information system software, landscape ecology and urban ecology.
LETICIA BULASCOSCHI
Ecologist (UNESP/Rio Claro) and PhD student at Forest Ecology (ESALQ/USP).
She is the leader and responsible for the Restoration working package of the Araucaria project
